Angola: Nearly 40.000 People Complete Literacy Lessons

Ndalatando — Some 39.725 people can now read and write since 2007 until the present date, in Kwanza-Norte Province, under the literacy and school acceleration Programme (PAAE), ANGOP has learnt.

International Literacy DayInternational Literacy Day highlights the importance of literacy in areas such as health and education.

The local governor, Henrique Júnior, disclosed this information under the commemorations of the International Literacy Day, marked on September 08, adding that the actual total number in this province is of 48.080, more than half of whom are women.

He highlighted what he considered as example, dedication and engagement of the women to some years of this learning process.
