China’s Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun Visits Algeria

On November 16, 2011, Vice Foreign Minister Zhai Jun met with Abdelhamid Siafif, chairman of the Committee of Foreign Affairs, Cooperation and Immigration of the Algerian National Assembly, who is visiting China at the invitation of the NPC’s Foreign Affairs Committee.

Zhai made ​​positive comments on Algeria’s development achievements in recent years, saying that China attaches importance to traditional friendship with Algeria. China is willing to make joint efforts with Algeria to strengthen bilateral exchanges and cooperation in various fields and continuously enrich the connotation of bilateral strategic cooperative relations for the benefit of the two peoples.

Siafif said since the establishment of diplomatic relations over half a century ago, bilateral ties have been developing steadily based on mutual respect and mutual trust. The Algerian side thanked for China’s help in all areas and pledged to continue to push forward the bilateral strategic cooperative relations.
