Hewlett-Packard (HP) and Integrated Technology Group (ITG) announced plans to collaborate in the African market to offer cloud based eLearning solutions for education ministries and institutions to enable their students achieve better skills, applicable for the changing job market demands.
Today through globalization and ever increasing disruption caused by new technologies, effective education and education transformation are needed more than ever for countries around the globe to increase their economic competiveness and enable their citizens have a better quality of life. Modernizing today’s curricula and leveraging adaptive learning system are imperative to empower students with 21st century skills. This is especially true in the areas of Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics (STEM) so that graduates are better able to contribute to their country’s economy either as employees or as new entrepreneurs.

These HP social innovation activities include the HP Institute program for training students in IT from web connected devices up to the Cloud, as well as HP LIFE (Learning Initiative for Entrepreneurs) to equip students and young entrepreneurs with best-in-class business skills to start their own business venture.
