The Middle East Association (MEA) is the UK’s leading business forum for promoting trade and investment with the Middle East and North Africa. Founded in 1961 and based in London, the MEA is an independent, not-for-profit membership association, representing around 350 organisations from all business and industry sectors.

During their visit, the MEA met with Public and Private Sector leaders to explore opportunities in a range of sectors. The British Ambassador hosted a reception and the mission team was also joined by Lady Olga Maitland of the Algeria-British Business Council.

British Ambassador Andrew Noble said:

“The Middle East Association is a long-established and highly reputable organisation. I am very pleased that, since the restructuring of the MEA earlier this year, Peter Meyer and his team have chosen to make an early visit to Algeria to explore the diverse range of opportunities which we all know are waiting here for British companies.”

Peter Meyer, CEO of the Middle East Association, said:

”The Middle East Association is delighted to be returning to Algeria. We look forward to working closely with Algerian partners and developing relationships for the future. Our delegate companies are enthusiastic about the market, and see a variety of opportunities for establishing contacts with local businesses.”
