3M , a science-based company that inspires creative collaboration, announced today the appointment of Andrei Holban as the new Regional Managing Director for the Middle East and Africa region. In his role, Andrei succeeds Ippocratis Vrohidis who has relocated to St. Paul as the new Vice-President for Global Service Centers.
Commenting on the new appointment, Bernard Cicut, Area Vice-President for Central and Eastern Europe, Middle East and Africa Region at 3M , said: “Andrei has been a 3M veteran for over two decades, and is equipped with the right experience and the commitment to the growth of the company.
Hosting a blend of strategic and leadership skills, Andrei has proven time and time again that he is a highly skilled leader who, as the MD of 3M Turkey over the past four years, has successfully led the country through strong growth despite significant economic and political instability. We are very excited to have Andrei in this new position, and I am sure that he will help lead the company towards further growth in this highly promising region.”
Andrei has been with 3M since 1992, Andrei proved his leadership capabilities as he steadily grew through the company in many leadership positions, including MD for multiple countries in East Europe. In 2011, Andrei went on to become the Managing Director for 3M Turkey. He succeeds Ippocratis Vrohidis, who served as Vice-President for the MEA region, and will be located in Dubai.

The new appointment comes in line with 3M ‘s strategy of developing world-class leadership and expanding operations and business presence across various international markets and geographies.
