Runesu Kwaramba – Senior Manager, Marketing and PR, CBZ Bank Limited, Zimbabwe
“The summit was well organized and the concept provides for a win-win outcome for all attendees. Within the space of two days, a minister (together with the ministerial delegation) can get an overall picture of what industry has to offer. On the other hand, a commercial company has the opportunity to meet with a number of ministries within the space of two days. It is hardly possible to meet with a minister and his/her ministry officials at the same time in one country. It takes months of negotiations and arrangements just to have an initial set of meetings with the minister and ministerial staff in any particular country. And here, at the conference, we could save the airfare, accommodation cost, and lots of time by having all these delegations served to us on a silver platter. Now that the initial contacts have been established, and arrangements made for follow-up meetings, we are fast-tracked to conduct our business.”
Kobus van Wyk – Head: e-Learning Initiatives, Mustek, South Africa
“This summit was very useful in that it brought all the ministries from the various countries and the service providers all in one place and allowed the chance of one to one meetings. These 20minute one to one meetings were very effective as it was neutral ground for both the ministries and the service providers. A lot was achieved in a short space of time. More events/summits of this nature are needed to promote ICT skills!”
Viola Dondo – General Manager, ICDL in CSA Trust, Zimbabwe
“The event was extremely well-managed and informative; with the afternoon round-table meetings providing an opportunity for valuable face-to-face meetings with delegates and sponsors.”
John Picknett – Managing Director, 1886 Investments Limited, UK
